Michelle D. McBride - Collector of Revenue
St. Charles County Missouri 

Michelle D. McBride took office as St. Charles County Collector of Revenue on March 1, 2007. Prior to taking office, Michelle served as the Fiscal Manager for the Collector's Office. 

 

Michelle has a B.S. in Accountancy with a minor in Computer Science from the Univeristy of Illionis in Urbana-Champaign, IL,  and an M.S.A. with a Management Focus from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO.

The St. Charles County Collector is responsible for the collection and disbursement of property taxes for over 30 taxing jurisdictions including school and fire districts, municipalities, and other political subdivisions with an authorized tax levies. In addition, the collector receives funds for 33 Neighborhood Improvement Districts, 10 Community Improvement Districts, 10 Tax Increment Financing Districts and 11 Drainage and/or Levee Districts.

Annual collections and disbursements exceeded 480 Million dollars last fiscal year. By law, the collector must use any legal means to collect delinquent taxes such as the annual tax certificate sale held on the 4th Monday of August each year.
