Michelle D. McBride - Collector of Revenue

Michelle D. McBride took office as St. Charles County Collector of Revenue on March 1, 2007. Prior to taking office, Michelle served as the Fiscal Manager for the Collector's Office.
McBride has a B.S. in Accountancy with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, IL, and an M.S.A. with a Management Focus from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO.
The St. Charles County Collector is responsible for the collection and disbursement of property taxes for over 30 taxing jurisdictions including school and fire districts, municipalities, and other political subdivisions with an authorized tax levy. In addition, the collector receives funds for more than 30 Neighborhood Improvement Districts, 10 Community Improvement Districts, 10 Tax Increment Financing Districts and 11 Drainage and/or Levee Districts.
Certified Charges for 2015 exceeded half a billion dollars. By law, the collector must use all legal means to collect delinquent taxes such as the annual tax certificate sale held on the 4th Monday of August each year.
